Abstract

The Aramaic root tqf is very used in the Targumic versions. In this article the morphologic functions (adjetival, substantival and verbal) of Targum Ezequiel are investigate either the Targumist makes a literal translation of the Hebrew roots hzq, `zand kbd or he interprets texts without these synonimous roots. With the use of the root tqf the Targumist shows his purpose to transmit and adequate exegesis, according to his viewpoint, to different passages of the book of Ezekiel.
