The Aramaic Bible, following the steps of the Hebrew Text, very often translates the names of places in the Biblical Text as common names; after the translation comes the explanation, and in that case the toponimy becomes a part of the religious message according to the theological thought, which reflects the Jewish theological thinking expressed in the several Targumin. In the present study we quote all the toponyms present in the Targum to the Prophets Oseah, Joel, Amos and Obadiah according to the Aramaic Bible.Downloads
