Abstract

In the last decade of the 20'h century, we ha ve witnessed a remarkable boon in Sephardic Studies around the world. In this paper we present an orderly selection of the main studies carried out by Spanish scholars on the history, the language, and the literature of the Jews who were spelled from Spain in 1492 ·and their descendants, who had JudeoSpanish as the main vehicle of their culture. Given the specific nature of this volume of MEAH, a separa te section of the paper is devoted to Sephardic Studies at the University of Granada, from its origins to 1991, since the period from 1992 to the present is already discussed in the general section.
