Abstract

The interest for the study of Moroccan Arabic in Spain begins in the end of XVIII century because of the need of translators for diplomatic relations. Manuel Bacas Merino, after his travel to Morocco, where he stayed during four years, published in 1807 a grammar of Classical Arabic, adding an original comparative study of the Moroccan Arabic with that register.
