Abstract

Through the analysis of the baptism acts conclusions are draw about the population evolution,ethnic make-up, socioeconomic development, slavery and anthroponomy in the parish of Santa Ana in Guadix, which was inhabited mainly by moriscos until 1570 and thereafter by castilian settlers.
