Abstract

The Mameluke Egypt is a good example of equestrian ideology in the Middle Ages, from the thirteenth century up to the beginning of the sixteen century. However, not enough attention has been paid to its impact on literary works of the same period. Therefore, the aim of this  paper is to study and translate the poems and passages concerning equine art in Ibn Dāniyāl`s poemes and shadow theatre.
