Sobre la Guerra, la Paz el Imperialismo en la República Romana

Abstract

The most outstanding feature of the foreing policy of the Roman Republic is the territorial expansion, with enormous dimensions both spacial and chronological. Researches agreee labelling this behaviour as Imperialism. That cannot be fully explained without relating to war, war qualifies and explains Roman Imperialism and it is the dinamizing factor. The rest of the factors are secondary and depend on the interests of the arrny and The necessary task is to research on the relations among all the factors to get a better knowledge of its causes.
