Abstract

Music is an Art, it’s a spectacle, it’s a cultural product; but it’s also an educational and therapeutic tool of great importance for the training of different specialists in the field of Health. In this research, the activities developed in the subject of "Music Therapy" of the Degree of Physiotherapy of the University of Valencia, which were included in the Innovation Project "Training in Movement+Music adapted to the needs of the physiotherapist" (UV- SFPIE_RMD16-417654). This project focused on preparing the physiotherapist to understand his own body, his bodily possibilities with musical stimuli and consciousness in the emotional-body power-control of Music. It defended a formation in the corporal understanding by means of the Music, more than in the possibilities of application of the Musicology more traditionalist (instrumental improvisations, etc.). All this to guarantee the incorporation of some musical elements worked to the physiotherapeutic session, although without invading the competitions of the music therapist.
