Abstract

In this article, the authors compare documentaries produced by official television channels and created specifically for the YouTube platform in order to justify a new type of film in documentaries. YouTube video hosting in the XXI century has become a platform for independent authors seeking to speak out on socially significant topics. In the Russian-language YouTube, the peak of the development of free thought on the Internet was the project of journalist Yuri Dud, a community of independent video makers is gradually beginning to form in Kazakhstan. Thus, in order to substantiate their assumption about the formation of a YouTube-type documentary, the authors conducted a comparative analysis of the films of the Kazakh television channels KTK, “Khabar” and documentary projects of YouTube channels. An example of the author's documentary projects can be called the channels “kana beisekeev”, “Rinat Balgabayev”.
