Abstract

Waiting for the final work concerning the moorish revolution in Granada (1568-1570), new data meeting the demand for their knowledge come up every day. In this article, several sources generated by the Society of Jesus are published and analized. The priviledged position of the jesuits due to their attemps to evangelize the moorish, allowed them to have a permanent correspondence that offers important and accurate information about the facts. A total of thirty eight letters —some of them written by individuals who do not belong to the Society of Jesus—, show the great importance given to the so called war of the Alpujarras in those days.
