Abstract

In terms of historiography, this article analyzes the most important contributions and mexicanist studies concerning family and women history in the “novohispano” colonial period. We take as starting point both subjects and study in depth some of the contributions that have been made in the last years about the feminist resistances to the patriarchy, sexuality, ilegitimacy, and finally, ethnicity and gender.
