Abstract

The Granadan Morisco Miguel de Luna is known because of being the author of a false chronicle, the Historia verdadera del Rey Don Rodrigo and because of his participation as translator, apologist and maybe author of the forgery known as the Lead Books of the Sacromonte. This activities conforms his image as a “Christian Arabic”. Here new documents that change that image are presented. It shows his conection and participation in Morisco cryptoislamic networks, especially in Toledo. On the basis of this new data we are obliged to a new consideration of Luna and even of a new reading of the Lead Books.
