Abstract

An assessment of our artistic heritage in the coastal area of Granada can unfortunately only be undertaken by a study of the relevant documents, due to extensive losses over the centuries, and especially during the Spanish Civil War. However, such a study clarifies the importance of this heritage and allows us to determine more precisely the movements of works of art in the town and province of Granada. The 18th century lends itself to such an analysis, since it was a time of great productivity in architecture and church fumiture, and also one in which we can observe different artistic styles.
