Abstract

This paper offers an analysis of this outstanding chapel built under the patronage of the all-powerful Cardinal Belluga of Motril. The study is based on an examination of the available documents - since the original building no longer exists. Jt was the work of José de Bada, the last great master of the Granada baroque school, and must have been not only an exceptional chapel in itself but also outstanding for the church fumiture which the prelate had brought specially from Rome.
