Abstract

Two interesting architectural drawings are studied. The first, of lower quality than the second is for the construction of a fountain in Alhama, Granada, and although it is unsigned, it is attributed to Francisco Antonio del Castillo. The second drawing, much larger than was common at the time, is definitely signed by Castillo and is thought to be a sketch for the ideal model church where the longitudinal plan is harmoniously combined with the crossing, which is crowned by a large slim dome.
