Abstract

Literary reviews are an essential documentary and information source for the study of any aspee! of art history (works - creation, evolution, reception; artistic techniques, style, etc.) They form a necessary part of the first stage in any research methodology, both in the establishing of the state of the art and review of the literature and also at later stages in the process. For this reason in this experimental study study of the internal coherence of the review -its genre- its style and an analysis of the art journals in which these reviews are published are shown to be vital.
