Abstract

We aim to analyse the creative role played by women within cyberfeminism, an artistic trend which is acquiring ever more wide-spread recognition, and which derives from feminist art criticism. The beginnings of cyberfeminism can be dated to the Cyberfeminist lnternational which took place at Documenta X in Kassel in September 1997. Related to the concept of cyberfeminism we have the idea of the cyborg, a subject which is identified with the «othern -women, racial and ethnic minorities, homosexuals-, in contemporary conceptions of the individual.
