Abstract

In an earlier article we established the importance of the fortnightly journal la Alhambra, up to the year 1910, in which modernism began to make itself felt in Granada. Although other journals reflected this new aesthetic trend, la Alhambra remained opposed to daring new proposals, and preferred to support more local traditions. In this second article we will illustrate and define these localist proposals, and evaluate the importance of La Alhambra in the cultural scene in Granada.
