Abstract

Spanish nineteenth century became an attractive tourist destination and, as a consequence, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela was rediscovered by British and French people. This paper is part of a comparative study of these travellers’ memories and literature about its architecture. The first part was published in the last issue of this journal, showing a brief review of the travel to Spain during the ninettenth century, a methodological introduction, and the study of British travel literature. This time we offer the analysis of French travel literature and the final conclusions of the study.
