Abstract

In this paper we present extracts of  all the contracts for building work, stonemasonry and carpentry to be found in the notarial protocols in the historical archive of the archbishopric of Granada. These essential basic documents will be of use to researchers specializing in the history of architecture and more generally to those interested in research in art history. In the summer of 2001 we examined all the notarial documents in the archive in order to complete a lengthy study: “Maestros de cantería y albañilería en la Granada Moderna, sen los escribanos de la Ciudad,  published  in 2000,  thanks  to the support  of the College  of Notaries  of Granada.
