Abstract

The church of St. May in Huesear is an excellent example of the viguor present in the architecture typical of the Spanish Renaissance. Severa) master architects of the calibre of Si loe Covarrubias or Yandelvira are reputed to have contributed to its construction at different times. The earthquake which affected the Iberian Peninsula in 1755 caused serious damage to its structure, especially to the tower, walls, the capitals and the woodwork. In the document transcribed here the relevan! repair work is described, as are other works undertaken in orden to improve interior adomment of the church.
