Inventarios y catálogos del museo provincial de Bellas Artes de Granada realizados en el siglo XIX: análisis y valoración

Abstract

The Art colections from the Museum get its real identity being given the control and documentation instruments addecuated to them: the inventaries and catalogues.
As a result of particular historical circunstancies the first, and to the developement the seconds, both revele fundamental facts to the exact acknoledgement to the works of art kept in this places.
The aim of this work is to analize the inventaries and catalogues that, up to now, are kept at the Local Museum of Arts in Granada, the historical context and the legal dispositions that moti vate its realitation, the identity of its creators, the methodology used and finally to establish a valoration of its contribution of the documental «corpus» to the history of the museum.
