Abstract

In 1988 Victoria Soto Caba published a fine article in the Boletín de Arte de la Universidad de Málaga on the catafalques which were raised in 18th century Granada on the occasion of funeral services for the Spanish
Monarchy based on the study of six funerals. This paper takes up these ideas and provides sorne new information and data, as wel l as additional comments, following the careful analysis of another nine documents on the subject in the University Library of Granada.
