Abstract

In the present article we study the silver pieces which complement the image of the Holy Christ of Saint Augustine which is venerated in the convent of the Holy Angel and is exhibited in procession in Holy Week.
These pieces are: the Cross, INRI, Crown of Thorns and Saintly Halo, the first of these - from the 18th century -being especially significant from the artistic and symbological point of view.
