Abstract

This paper deals with critical arguments in favour of a renovation and approximation to the avant garde movements advanced during the early decades of the Franco re gime in Spain. These arguments and experiences
took as their basis a revaluation of subjective values in works of art, looking back to periods of the 19th century, especially Romanticism, which had been proscribed. It is within this context that we should evaluate
the theoretical work of Emiliano Aguado.
