Abstract

Thc role playcd by women in the creative arts is a field of study which deserves more attention. The present paper analyses the position of women and their relations with men in 16th century Granada, specifically in the world of the potters. Given the geographical and social complexity of the place and period studied, we have to take into account not only gender roles, but also ethnic considerations.
