Arqueologías del género y la memoria: Acción y conmemoración de las mujeres en la arquitectura helenística

Resumen

Este artículo reflexiona sobre la materialidad arquitectónica de la memoria social de las mujeres en la Grecia helenística, planteando sus problemáticas, casuísticas y vías de estudio. A través de la documentación disponible —arqueológica y textual—, se realiza un recorrido por las diversas formas y significados que adquirieron los lugares de memoria femenina, entendiendo como tales tanto los creados expresamente para su reconocimiento público, como los generados por su propia agencia. Se indaga asimismo acerca de la inserción de estos monumentos en sus contextos arqueológicos y en redes de asociación espacial, para desvelar las topografías del género y la memoria, así como acerca de su conexión con entramados de redes femeninas de memoria, y su capacidad de generar emulación y nuevas memorias, en un trayecto que va de la Grecia del siglo IV a.C. a la Roma imperial.
