Abstract

This article is addressed to the study of violence against women between 1900 and 1931 through a systematic analysis of the sentences of the Audiencia Provincial de rdoba. The paper is based on a proven methodology. We have selected trials in which women appeared as victims. Thanks to it we can say that the woman was the victim of three types of violence: physical, sexual and moral. The article is structured according this three types of violence, paying attention to differentiate what we today call “gender violence” against other violence characterized by archaism and rurality.
