Abstract

At the beginning of the 20th century, the existence of intellectual elite feminine bourgeois group, worried about the feminine question and trying to improve their condition, was fundamental in the questioning of the restrictions that the gender speech was imposing to society.

From the acceptance of the speech about the difference of gender and clearly influenced by the political catalanism and the social reformism, this group claimed the access of women to education, payd work and professional training. With their claims and their social actuations they managed to formulate timid demands of social emancipation.
