Abstract

This paper studies, firstly, the situation of women in spanish public law during Franco's
regime, after the repcal of the laws of the Second Republic; secondly, it shows the activities
developed to help the reform of this situation and how these contributed to the approval of the
law “Derechos politicos, profesionales y de trabajo de la mujer”, that oppened, al least in theory,
new horizons for spanish women in the sixties.
