Abstract

Updating the status of gender and architecture. The convergence of the “star system” with gender discrimination and the inequality exercise in the practice of architecture. Issues of visibility, recognition, equality and distinction processes, of architecture and architects that converge with the phenomena of media coverage of the original architecture and has a dual job, hiding the woman architects to reduce their level of global recognition. Both at the level of elite and the local level of recognition of the gender architecture, usually much more committed to their environment.
