Abstract

The purpose of this paper is, in the first place, to examine the possibility of a female tradition of philosophical thought. And with this aim it has recourse to the Hannah Arendt's notion of a hidden tradition. The paper's purpose is also, secondly, to underline the fact, that in the majority of the contemporary philosophical debates (and in a certain way issues in the feminist theory aren't an exception), a well-known term is playing an important role: experience. And it suggests that we need a cartography of the uses of experience, if we want to know what we are talking about and also if we intent to analyze and to rethink the last 25 years of "women studies".
