Abstract

The article analizes the relationship between gender roles and political culture in Blasquist republicanism. The project of political and democratic change of Blasquism lead to a gradual transformation of subjective identities as well as certain notions and practices referring to family life. In this context the republican woman used highly politicized feminine roles in order to legitimate their own demands of emancipation.
