Abstract

The existence of a thread between different trends of the historic Spanish feminism, from secular assumptions, has already been highlighted. However, this essay aims at analysing this process from the feminine education point of view, what allows the incorporation of new protagonists to the secular feminine universe. The debate about religion-laicism, moral and women's emancipation, underlines the interest for the feminine education. The taken educational strategies in neutral and secular schools, opposite the Catholic Church's models, are expressed in the establishment of the coeducation. The diverse ways of understanding the rationalism and the laicism, from the 19th century spirituals and Masons' religiosity to the 20th century anarchists' atheism, are underlined.
