The purpose of this paper is to show that Cartesian fictions are not necessary in the sphere of knowledge, particularly economic knowledge, which derives from a web of interests and decisions that result from common thinking, which determines the thinking of each individual.
The Cartesian sequence "to think of oneself in order to think", in reality is reversed to "to think in order to think of oneself ", creating a new concept of rationality, a reflection of the reasoning of the others. This has important consequences: the first is the break with the idea of the existence of "hidden thought", namely, that each individual has thoughts that the others cannot know. The second is the non-existence of strategic thinking, compatible with economic competititon, but not with common thinking.
Finally, the author comes to the conclusion that a racionality of the others does not exist and that they proceed irrationally in the uncertain future.
