Editorial Policy
1. Scope and Focus
teorema is an international philosophy journal covering a broad spectrum of topics, from the foundations of logic and the philosophy of language to more contemporary issues such as moral, political, and aesthetic philosophy. With a pluralistic approach, the journal encourages reflection on classical disciplines of analytic philosophy while also exploring new perspectives and methods.
In this new phase, teorema stands out for its commitment to diversity, incorporating perspectives on gender, race, and other historically marginalized groups. Its goal is to foster dialogue among philosophers from Spain, Latin America, and the rest of the world. Aimed at a wide audience, from students to established researchers, teorema promotes academic excellence and the advancement of knowledge in all areas of philosophy.
2. Publication Frequency
teorema publishes its regular issues biannually, in April and November, along with a single monographic issue each year.
- 2 regular issues: April and November.
- 1 monographic issue per year.
The journal follows an online first continuous publication system, allowing articles to be published individually or alongside others as soon as they have undergone peer review, been approved, edited, and formatted—without waiting for the complete issue to be finalized. These will always be final versions, assigned to a specific volume, issue, and year, and will include a DOI and an identifier (e-locator) for proper citation.
It is important to note that the submission of a manuscript does not imply a commitment to publication by the journal.
3. Journal Section Policy
Originality Requirement
The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and originality in the works it publishes. Therefore, only original and unpublished manuscripts will be accepted. All submissions must be made through the online management system (OJS), strictly following the author guidelines, which are detailed in both the print and electronic versions of the journal. These guidelines can be found in the "Submissions" section under "Author Guidelines."
Additionally, as a general policy, authors are not permitted to publish articles in consecutive issues of the journal, except in exceptional circumstances that justify such a decision.
