Abstract

This article is a study of The Book ofwomen 's !ove, the text that was the subjectof my Ph. dissertation, and which in this moment I am preparing for publication. The Bookof women 's /ove is a Hebrew compendium of knowledge about magic, sexuality, cosmetics,gynaecology and obstetrics, of which there is only one extant XVth Century copy fromCatalonia-Provence. This article analyses briefly questions related to its composition,linguistic characteristics and contents, and the relationship between women and theseknowledge and practices.
