In Biblical Hebrew the Nominal Clause very often has the function ofintroducing an explanatory circumstance in the middle of the narrative or the discourse.This paper studies carefully the Mishna Seder M o 'ed in order to verify the way theNominal Clause works in Rabbinic Hebrew in its circumstancial role.
