Abstract

In the first third of the 19th century, a new translation of the Bible in Judeo-Spanish was published in Vienna. It was the translation of Yisrael Bajar ayim of Belgrade, which mantained vigorously, although adapting it to the new times, the pure Sephardic spirit of the translation of Abraham Asá (published seventy years before). To the edition of the Aramaic fragments from the Book ofDaniel according to the translation of ayim of Belgrade, it has been added in this article the list of morphosyntactic and lexical differences which are the result of the comparison between those fragments and the old ones from the translation of A. Asá.
