Abstract

This paper presents a series of institutional and academic initiatives in order to explain the status of New Testament research in Spain o ver the last fifty years. The paper then reviews the most important published books in this field. Other than in the fields of OldTestament and Judaism research, none of the professors have created their own schools. Maybe for this reason The New Testament Studies show a very dispersed pluralism. The demands of pastoral care take energy from research, but it is worth noting the different academic trends which clearly influence the current Spanish exegesis.
