The use of perfect qatal in Mishnaic Hebrew

Abstract

This article is an updating of the material found in my Grammar of Rabbinic Hebrew (Spanish edition, Valencia 1992; English translation, Leiden 1997). I take into account the important work of M. Azar (The Syntax of Mishnaic Hebrew, Jerusalem 1995) and the new development of contextual syntax.
