Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos. Sección Hebreo is a scientific journal specializing in Hebrew studies, with the purpose of providing a platform for the dissemination of original and high-quality academic research.  Mission and Objective

The mission of Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos. Sección Hebreo is to foster the production and dissemination of knowledge in the field of Hebrew studies through the publication of original research of high academic quality. The journal aims to establish itself as a reference space for the exchange of ideas and scientific debate, promoting an interdisciplinary and pluralistic approach to the study of Hebraism.

Its main objective is to publish articles and reviews that address any aspect related to Hebrew studies in its broadest sense, including Hebrew language and literature, Judaic studies, and the history of the Jewish people. All contributions must be unpublished and represent a significant contribution to the academic community.

Additionally, the journal aspires to strengthen collaboration among researchers from different institutions and countries, fostering the development and international projection of Hebrew studies.

 History and Relevance

The creation of Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos took place in 1952 at the initiative of D. Luis Seco de Lucena and D. David Gonzalo Maeso, professors at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Granada. Between 1952 and 1957, the journal was published as a single volume annexed to the Boletín de la Universidad de Granada. From 1958 to 1996, the journal was divided into two independent issues:

Since 1997, Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos. Sección Hebreo has been published independently as volume 46 within a general collection titled Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos, edited by the Department of Semitic Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Granada. In the same year, the journal was divided into two independent sections, each with its own ISSN:
