De nuevo sobre la poesía de Abu Hayyan al-Garnati: el tema erótico
Keywords:
Arabic poetry, Gazal, Muda`aba, Muwašaha, Al-Garnati, Abu HayyanAbstract
The erotic-amorous theme (gazal) is one of the principle genres present in the Diwan of Abu Hayyan al-Garnati (1256-1344), poet of andalusí origin who emigrated to Egypt where he remained until his death. He became in the Egyptian capital one of the most important figures in different fields of knowledge. His gazal is notable for its originality in the treatment of themes not usually so handled in this genre as are the poems dedicated to masculine figures with some physical failing. He is also the author of two muwašahat dedicated to individual gilman.Downloads
