The permanent search for identity in the modern Arab world is shown in the literary scene through the recovery of the turat, the traditional legacy. This trend even increased after 1967. This article highlights the way Tawfiq al-Hakim chooses to grants a new value to certain elements of the turat and integrates them in his literary production.Downloads
