Algunas reflexiones sobre la historia cultural y el estudio de la literatura de <i>adab</i>

Abstract

The similarities between social and historical processes of Modern Europe and Classic Islam, specially regarding to written culture, require a historiographical debate on the research objectives of orientalism, as well as on the pertinence of looking upon the studies on Early Modern Europe as an influence to discuss the problems of Islamic societies during the medieval period, in particular if we use adab literature as an historical source.
