The panegyric addressed to the governors occupies an important place in the literary production of the poets of the nazari period. By means of the panegyric the poet praises a sultan’s virtues and achievements and also introduces political ideas that help the sovereign to consolidate his power. This article focuses on the content of this poetic form taking an example one of Ibn al-yayyab poems.Downloads
