Escrituras árabes romanceadas del convento de Santa Cruz la Real (1430-1496): pinceladas documentales para una imagen de la Granada nazarí
Keywords:
Title deeds in Spanish, Late-islamic Granada, Real estateAbstract
Collection of 21 title deeds dated between 1430 and 1496 which were translated from Arabic into Spanish for the Dominican Convent of Santa Cruz la Real, in Granada, as evidence of their property rights obtained in Granada and surroundings after 1492. This small diplomatic collection helps to build onomastic and toponimic inventories of late-islamic Granada, as well as sketches of the rural, urban and real estate scene in Granada at the end of the Medieval Age. The authors pose some questions and offer several brushstrokes for a better profile of the fuzzy material –let aside social– image we still have about the Nasrid Granada.Downloads
