In this brief introduction and after making a presentation of the three articles that constitute the monograph, in this brief introduction Mercedes Montoro Araque assures that the landscape garden cannot be singularized given that rather, and following Fr. Jullien, the classic definition of the "hortus conclusus" must give way to a space of "landscape concentration" in which the simbolic and the affective dimension as well as the historical and cultural dimension come intoo play.
