Abstract

The problem of creating a language base for training foreign students about professional discourse is one of the relevant and underdeveloped topics. The article describes the lexical and semantic groups of cognate prefixed verbs that are used in texts of specialized disciplines in the specialty of "International Relations". The criterion of communicative relevance for the above-mentioned category of foreign students forms the selection base of the analyzed educational material. The linguistic and methodological aspect of teaching foreign students’ verbal communication on professional topics in order to effectively master the language of the specialty is considered. The typology of lexical and grammatical tasks that are adequate to the tasks of professional communication of foreign students at an advanced stage of education is described. The article presents the didactic vector of the specifics of exercises when working with cognate prefixed verbs in texts of international legal subjects.
