Abstract

The article is dedicated to the actual theme – the ethical and aesthetic position of a democratic author of XIX century G. Uspenski and his orientation in the tradition of N.Gogol. The article concentrates on the unity of the agenda and textual parallels with «Easter Sunday» by N.Gogol in analysis of the essay «The Paschal day».
